Entebbe Municipality Resident District commissioner Nalongo Rose Mary Kirabira has ordered police to shut down the Kitooro community Radio over bashing government. The senior government officer on Thursday ordered police to seize the radio equipment in addition to summoning the radio manager identified as Mutangizi Gyaviira who narrowly missed arrest. The police operatives raided the radio premises and carried several equipments including transmitters after several warnings from government authorities over dirty politics. The radio manager who is also a staunch DP diehard was summoned by police to be grilled over bashing government on his radio talk show debut ‘Emanduso’ and making negative allegations against the ruling NRM Party government. The Radio Manager is in hiding and hasn’t yet reported to Entebbe Police.
