Kigungu residents in Entebbe Municipality are up in arms and fighting for their rights after the Vet Road was officially closed to allow for the expansion of Entebbe International Airport. The Entebbe Municipality Division B Chairman Anthony Segujja and Kigungu Ward area Councilor a one Richard Sekyondo incited the locals to riot over the closed road. The poor residents claim that ever since the road was closed a few weeks ago by government authorities they have been toiling to connect to other areas in Entebbe. The locals argue that the available Buku Road is a longer route for them to connect to other points including work places, schools and hospitals in case of emergencies.  The locals almost undressed in the road over the contentious matter which is raising dust in the area. The highly charged locals decided to take matters into their own hands after they failed to get a clear response from relevant authorities over the closed road.
