Former NBS TV host Tuff B, real name is Robert Sekidde, has announced his decision to run independently in the 2026 general election after being denied the NUP party ticket.
A few months back, Tuff B officially resigned from his duties at Next Media’s NBS TV to pursue a political career under the National Unity Platform Party.
Tuff revealed his intentions to run for the Makindye East Member of Parliament, vowing to address issues affecting the local people diligently.
Unfortunately, Tuff B’s plans were dealt a heavy blow when he failed to secure his party ticket to be the NUP flagbearer in the 2026 elections.

The former KURT TV show host expressed his disappointment with the NUP party vetting process, revealing that it lacked transparency.
During his interview with Sanyuka TV earlier today, TV announced that he will be running as an independent in the 2026 elections to fulfil his political ambitions.
He maintained that, despite taking a different direction, he remains loyal to his party leader, Bobi Wine, also known as Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.
