The vice chancellor of Makerere University Barnabas Nawangwe, in a letter that we have landed on has communicated that the university will resume studies for finalists on June 20th, 2020.
Following, the presidential directive that all final year students in universities resume studies as a measure to control social distance at the university, Prof Nawangwe says the university COVID-19 task force met and came up with guidelines to ensure safe opening.
He communicated that the semester will run till August 7th and includes teaching and sitting for exams.
“The university is currently studying how much particular courses are behind the syllabus schedule to ensure that they’re able to cover it all in that time.” An insider said
