In a typical return to the original roots tale, Lawrence Onyango has openly expressed the bold interest to stand as Member of Parliament (MP) for West Budama in North Tororo.
Onyango’s bold decision to return to his home area is clear manifestation of the notation “East or West, home is the best”.
Also, the current legal advisor for the Entebbe Municipality Adhola Community and Entebbe Municipality law enforcement officer (Division A), Onyango comes with a clean leadership path having been a leader throughout his school life.

Back in the days at Nagongera Boys Primary School, then St. Kizito’s Primary School beneath the famous Tororo Rock, Rock High School, Tororo, at LDC Makerere, Kampala, and now currently the legal advisor of Entebbe Adhola Community, Onyango has been granted various leadership roles.
Onyango is very well endowed with the calling of God to lead his people; his leadership talent, zeal, and prowess keeps following him wherever he goes!
The lawyer- in the making, a shrewd, son of Tororo has now declared his interest to help his people back at home in Tororo by offering himself to contest for the post of Member of Parliament for the West Budama North constituency, a village constituency where he hails from- Mukwana- Morwa Zone).

He is widely exposed in the legal and business world (worked with Justice Centers Uganda Kampala, Agaba Muhairwe & Co, Advocates, Kampala, Nshemereirwe, Arigye & Co, Advocates, Entebbe, worked with Crane Bank (now defunct), Entebbe International Airport.
Onyango is well exposed, fit and properly prepared for the roles of a member of Parliament.
It is not only about his academic and work experiences and achievements, but also, he is one you can describe as born and at the same time groomed a leader right from his childhood days; in fact, Onyango has been a leader right from his nursery school days up to now.

Now, God’s calling upon his life is pulling him out like the biblical Moses, Abraham and Jesus Christ to go back to his cradle land in Tororo (back to his roots) like the messiah, to deliver his people from the bondage of suffering, Onyango points out strongly 18 vivid reasons as to why he has decided to offer himself for the MP position for this constituency.
The dilapidated status of the famous Tororo- Nagongera- Busolwe Road; a road he used to so much use while trekking to the glorious Nagongera Boys Primary School; his heart has been so much touched by the gloomy status of this road, the dying status of the health centres (equip them with essential drugs), marginalized groups of people as women, youths and disabled women, unemployed people (with introduction of empowerment programs), with no better means of survival, among others.
Lawrence Onyango, the hope for West Budama in North Tororo.
