Ugandan TikToker Vincent Ngabo, also known as Tutu The Man, was remanded in prison yesterday by the Entebbe Magistrates’ Court for allegedly making hate speech and burying a campaign poster of President Museveni.
In one of his TikTok videos posted on his account, 28-year-old Vincent was seen removing a 2021 campaigning poster of President Museveni from his house, which he said had been there for a long time. Wrapping it around his waist, he dug a deep hole and placed the poster before burying it.
Vincent not only appeared to be engaging in rituals but also attached his soundtrack, which suggested he was tired of the regime.
Despite advice from his followers to take down his posts, as they disrespected the Fountain of Honor, he turned a deaf ear. Not long after the advice, video clips depicting his arrest made rounds on social media, before he was arraigned before the court.

The case was presided over by Entebbe Grade One Magistrate Mazimwe Lilian, who charged Vincent on counts of burying the poster, hate speech, and computer misuse. She ruled that Vincent will be reappearing before the court on 17th October, 2025.
