Musician Bucha Man accuses the government of failing to fund his projects due to his past relationship with opposition party president Bobi Wine.
The former Firebase star, real name Mark Bugembe, has been on a rampage, calling out the office of the president for the alleged unfair treatment and sidelining his role as a presidential advisor on ghetto affairs.
In an interview with Sanyuka, Buchaman revealed that he had come up with several projects that he hoped would help the ghetto. Still, in the end, they were sabotaged by those in positions of power.
In his own assumptions, Buchaman believed that Gen. Salim Saleh and President Museveni’s decision not to fund him stemmed from the fact that he was once a very close friend of their now opponent, Bobi Wine.
He revealed that his bosses think he would betray them for Bobi Wine if he were well-funded, due to the connection they once shared.
“President Museveni and Gen. Saleh both know my capacity and what I’m capable of, but they do not want to give me money because they think I’m Bobi Wine’s friend; they think I chill and side with him just because I made him. They believe that if they give me money while Bobi Wine is still causing them stress, he will receive all the support. They know what I can do for the country, but they want to wait for my death and then give me money,” he said.
Bucha Man swore that he had been very faithful and loyal to the government despite their suspicions. He is, however, disappointed when they choose to frustrate and betray him. He noted that he was acting out of bitterness because he was financially strained and in need.

“I have been very faithful and loyal to them, but they are just bad people. I’m very broke and I have nothing. I haven’t done anything for myself, and I really need the money. They need to credit me for the projects that I have started to help the ghetto youths out of crime. They do not love me as a person because of Bobi Wine,” he said.
