Security agencies have issued an alert to citizens over suspected terrorists operating in the region. A suspect arrested in connection with the kidnap of Dr. Catherine Agaba, a medical doctor at International Hospital Kampala, has confessed to killing her. Dr Agaba disappeared on April 13, 2019 after taking her annual leave from her workstation and police in Kabalagala last week arrested two people including a Ugandan doctor based in the US over the crime. Former Peruvian President Alan García has died after shooting himself as police arrived at his home to arrest him over bribery allegations. Mr García was rushed to hospital in the capital, Lima.
