Inspector General of Police, Martins Okoth Ochola, has disbanded violent police crack unit, the Flying Squad Unit (FSU). FSU commanded by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Herbert Muhangi, has been known for hunting down suspects in high profile cases. The  government proposes a daily tax of Ush100 ($0.03) on all social media users in the country. Lawyers’ legal fees have been revised upwards by the Law Council in a bid to reduce lawyer-client fights and also match the high inflation and increased cost of living. Security agencies are treading cautiously in their quest to free from abduction a son to a senior Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) officer. Mr Denis Alyenyo, a son to Col Dr Francis Ongia, the Chairperson Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) at Amolator District, was last Thursday abducted by unknown people from his home in Maga Maga, Mayuge District along the Jinja-Iganga Highway.
