The late singer Evelyn Lagu’s son, Fred Kasavu, has expressed frustration with some of his late mother’s friends whom he accuses of stopping him from selling the house she left behind.
Kasavu claims that some of the individuals opposing the sale have never visited his mother’s burial grounds and do not even know what it looks like.
He questioned the importance of maintaining a beautiful home when his mother’s grave remains unfinished, explaining that it has neither been tiled nor fitted with a cross, unlike other graves bearing inscriptions.
“It belongs to me. The individuals stopping me from selling my mother’s house have never even stepped where she was buried. They don’t even know what the place looks like. What is the importance of having a good-looking house when my mother’s grave was not completed, not even tiled, and without even a cross like others, yet you want to stop me from selling the house?” he said.
Kasavu also acknowledged the support he has received from Mr Lule Pakalast, Queen Florence and Faridah Ndausi, whom he credited for standing by him during this difficult period.

He further opened up about his struggles following his mother’s death, revealing that he once secured employment at Pakalast Restaurant but eventually quit because he was still battling depression, trauma, and relationship-related challenges.
