Renowned deejay and media personality DJ Nimrod has opened up about the near-death experience that pushed him out of a toxic relationship.
DJ Nimrod, during his interview with Galaxy TV on the Deep Talk, alleged that he was once in a relationship with a woman he didn’t disclose that almost ended his life.
The ordeal allegedly started when he received a message from another woman that infuriated his partner, who reportedly waited until he was fast asleep and scalded him with hot water on his back.
Nimrod revealed that he was severely burned and it took him over a month for the burns to heal.
“Marriage almost killed me. I entered the house and my partner then saw a message reading ‘Hi Darling’. As I was asleep, this woman boiled water and poured it on my back. At one, I used to put on two shirts for at least one month because my back was burnt. One short had to sink in those burns and the other was on top,” he said.
When he finally recovered, he decided to walk away from the relationship, leaving every belonging he had in the house behind.
“I got my laptop bag like I was going to work and left home. Everything that I owned, I left it behind because I was tired of being in a toxic relationship. I almost died. I left everything behind and moved in with my friends in Namuwongo. She kept calling and asking me if I wasn’t coming back home and I boldly told her I wasn’t. I started buying things one by one and restagred my life,” he said.

Despite the unfortunate experience, however, Nimrod revealed that he didn’t completely give up on relationships, as he has learned how to tame his women and take control of the relationship.
