Singer Kapa Cat, real name Tumusiime Catherine, has opened up about her life outside music, saying she offers online companionship to strangers for a fee.
Kapa Cat, during her recent interview with NRG, revealed that her music career was not making her enough money that she needed. To cover her bills, the singer revealed that she has taken up other side jobs to earn her money.
“It is really tough because the music cannot pay you enough. Lately I feel like everyone is doing too much and earning less including losing respect. I venture into so many things which are so personal,” she said.
One of the side gigs she has taken up is offering virtual companionship to lonely online white strangers at a fee, noting that she has also been able to connect with some of them for business, and she is earning money from it.
“I can be on the internet, and I get a lot of white people; some want company, some have real business. They want company because their countries are boring. They need someone to talk to and get attention online. I charge for that,” she said.

Kapa Cat, however, dismissed the common thinking that she was into prostitution, acknowledging developing feelings for some people but making it clear that she had not involved herself in a transactional relationship.

“People always think that when you are doing that, you are into prostitution. But if I like the person, we keep talking and it gets to that level, well and good. I always say it; I will sleep with whoever I want to if I want to and it has nothing to do with what they gave me. If I like it, I will go for it. Some of them come in and you kind of catch feelings for them and it gets there,” she said.
Kapa Cat explained that she has been able to use the income earned online to pay her bills.
