Singer Victor Ruz, Wajja Victor, revealed that he was dealing with personal challenges that led him to take a break from music.
Ruz was among the youngsters who dominated the Ugandan music industry two years ago, before losing momentum and going silent.
While other factors may have pushed him into a music hiatus, Ruz confessed during his recent interview that he was dealing with personal issues.
As the breadwinner of his family, the youngster revealed he had a lot on his plate that he couldn’t disclose, saying he keeps his family matters away from the media.
“I didn’t have any health problems; it was just the family issues. Like men, we deal with a lot of pressure. I’m the bread winner at my home and I’m carrying a heavy load on my head. I cannot come out to discuss my family affairs and there are many things I need to sort out,” he said.

Furthermore, Victor Ruz stressed that he was not in the right state of mind and could appear in public out of fear of being judged.

“I also needed to take care of myself and not come to the public while I’m mentally unstable. I didn’t want people to see me and criticize me because I’m not in a good state of mind. I first had to work on myself and be okay before coming out to you,” he said.
