Singer and politician Nubian Li has opened up on claims that his music career came to an end following Bobi Wine’s exit from the country.
Nubian Li and Bobi Wine met years back following the dismantling of the former’s music group, Nubian Squad. They hit the studio to record their first song titled Aniyaleta Okwagala, which was followed by Adam Ne Kaawa plus many other songs that topped charts.
Because they perfectly complemented each other when they worked together, many thought that Nubian’s career would suddenly come to an end because of Bobi Wine’s relocation to the US.
Nubian, during an interview with Spark TV announced his comeback in the music with the pupils of our Lady Of Fatima, Bbina. The group worked on an inspirational song, thanking God for his goodness.
“Bobi Wine leaving the country doesn’t stop me from doing music. In every situation I will still sing. Besides, the song we did is a thanksgiving song to God, also to empower those who have lost hope. The song was long overdue based on the things unfolding in the country; we need songs to encourage us. I didn’t sing with the children because Bobi Wine is away. Even if he was still around, I would still have sung with these children on this song,” he said.
Nubian Li further opened up about the motivation that pushed him to work with these children noting that they were extremely talented, and he felt that he would give the younger generation a chance to experience what it felt like to work with a star.

“This is the next generation in the industry. And because we have all the equipment like studios, I want them to experience what happens in the studio and what it takes to make a song that plays on different platforms. At a young age, I admired singing alongside the big stars, a chance I didn’t get. I decided to give these children that chance.
Nubian Li promised that he would work with them on a number of other projects to come.
