Singer Sheebah Karungi has hailed songwriters for the significant role they play in the music industry, especially for artists like her who do not write their own songs.
Sheebah Karungi made the revelation during Dokta Brain’s ‘The Door Key’ experience press conference as she was talking about Dokta Brain’s impact on her career.
She revealed that Dokta Brain was part of almost all the big songs in her catalogue, and that, despite working with another writer, she would end up going back to him for the final touches to make the song even better.
“I think Dokta Brain is part of almost every hit song of mine. Even if I work with another writer, I always feel there is something missing. Dokta Brain has a way he understands me and vice versa,” she said.
Sheebah further described herself as one of the few artists who do not write their own songs, appreciating Dokta Brain and so many writers she has worked with, revealing that they were the reason why she is where she is today.

“As an artist, I’m not a writer. I have never written any songs. Leave alone the small things we do after the song is done, fixing one or two lines here and there. But writing a song, giving it meaning? I have never done that. I feel like we have to be there for these writers. Without them sharing their talent with us, some of us who do not write wouldn’t be here. I appreciate you.” she said.
