Singer Mary Bata, real name Namakula Mary, has addressed allegations of using toxic substances as a driving force during her stage performances.
Mary Bata has, over the years, been hailed as one of the best performers with great energy to entertain her fans while on stage, with many attributing her active nature to using toxic substances like alcohol and drugs that help to give her confidence.
The singer, during an interview with BBS TV, however, denied the allegations, insisting that she is always sober, crediting the love and passion for her job to her unmatched energy during performances.
She revealed that she stood on the principle of giving her fans the very best of her, as if it were their last time to see her perform.

“Those who know me know me well. I love my job so much and I always tell my management that when we stand in front of a crowd, we should take it that we will not stand before them ever again.
So everywhere I step, I want to leave a trail and everyone who has seen me remembers me. I do not use anything apart from praying and believing in myself,” she said.
