Singer and Nakawa Division Mayor Nubian Li, real name Buken Ali, has announced the death of his father, Lieutenant Colonel Ratibu Mududu Ombedriku.
Nubian made the announcement this afternoon, sparking a somber moment among his fans and social media family.
The singer didn’t share many details surrounding his father’s death, but described him as a devoted father, a man of discipline, honour and integrity whose life was a blessing to all who knew him.
Several notable figures, including Gen. Mega Dee, David Lewis Rubongoya, Joel Ssenyonyi, among many others, were so quick to storm the comment condolence messages and put the grieving family in prayers.

Based on Nubial Li’s most recent social media post, he revealed that his father will be laid to rest tomorrow, 14 August 2026, at 4:00 in Arua City-Kenya ward.
