Singer Liane Nakaweesi has sparked reactions online after she revealed that she made the decision to live without having children in her life.
Liane Nakaweesi spoke candidly during her recent interview, revealing that despite having faced more public pressure about having children, she has unapologetically chosen to live a childfree life.
Explaining her decision, Liane revealed that she would have only brought children into this world if her mother were around because of how much she loved having them around. Unfortunately, she passed away some time back, leaving Liane scared of raising her own children alone without her guidance.
“If my late mother was still alive, maybe I would have had a child even if just one because she loved children so much. But it is hard, it takes a village to raise kids. It might not make sense to someone watching it but the person in my shoes might understand it better. I didn’t want to have children without my mother present and she will not come back because she died,” she said.
According to Liane, relationships lately were becoming complicated, giving rise to single motherhood because of how men were not ready to take on their responsibilities. Out of fear of leaving her children alone after she passed on, she chose not to have them in the first place.

“I do not want to be a single mother because men change. Tomorrow is not guaranteed and I also think about what will happen to my child in case I die. I’m scared of having children and out of that fear, I will not give birth,” she said.
Liane further admitted that she was dating and in a happy relationship despite not knowing what her man would think about her decision to live a childfree life.
