Singer Princess Amirah has revealed that she asks her husband, Hon. Kasolo, for permission before she attends any show or goes anywhere.
Amirah is one of the few artists known for rarely supporting her fellow artists’ shows. She was, however, seen at Kazibwe Kapo’s concert over the weekend, and when asked about her rare appearances, she explained that she didn’t like going to places where she was not invited.
Despite not getting one, as a married woman, she had to ask her husband for permission before gracing any event lest she get in trouble back at home.
“I only come for shows where I’m invited. Besides, I’m a married woman. When you give me an invitation, I have to ask my boss, and if he lets me, I will come. But if you have not invited me, I cannot come through because your show will end and I will be in trouble at home.
Even if you are my friend, I only wait for you to invite me. I’m a princess, and I do not want to be fighting at the gate. I have done music for a long time, and I respect myself; I only go where I’m wanted,” she said.

Amirah and Kasolo had been together for some time, and during one of her media interviews, she acknowledged holding a simple wedding (Nikkah) that wasn’t publicized, citing privacy concerns.
