Ugandan singer Fik Gaza has expressed his disappointment with the organizers of Jamaican singer Spice’s concert for denying him the chance to share the stage with the dancehall queen.
This week, Spice, born Grace Latoya Hamilton, arrived in Uganda ahead of her much-anticipated concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
Among the Ugandan stars who welcomed Spice was Fik Gaza, who was part of her entourage from Entebbe Airport to the press conference venue.
Addressing members of the press, Fik hinted at a possible collaboration with Spice and has been looking forward to sharing the stage with her this Saturday.
However, Fik Gaza’s plans were dealt a heavy blow when the event organizers revealed that he did not qualify to be part of the performing acts, citing his violent conduct.

It hurts to be removed from Spice’s show just one day to go. But let’s be clear: me and my team are not violent people. Music is what we do, not violence. I’ve worked hard to sell Uganda music worldwide, and it’s sad to be labeled like this. To the promoters.
Canceled me over fake violence talk? That’s rubbish. I’m the reason Spice even knew Uganda music. Y’all don’t wish me well, we get it. Style up. Uganda deserves real promoters, not haters.
So after all me and my team did when Spice arrived — security, entertainment, everything — y’all thank me by canceling me from her show? Clowns. Y’all don’t have no shame. Style up, you fake promoters. Fik Gaza said.
