Masaka-based businessman Lwasa Emmanuel, formerly Acram, has announced his return to Christianity after allegedly being healed of diabetes in church.
Lwasa recently announced that he had officially converted to Islam and changed his name from Emmanuel to Akram. The conversion took place at Kibuli Mosque, and, speaking to the press moments after the transition, he said his then-girlfriend, Nash Glow, had inspired him to join the religion.
Months later, however, Lwasa revealed that he was suffering from diabetes and was fearing for his life. He tried all known remedies to fight the disease, something that pushed him to visit the church for a solution as recommended.
Pastor Kakande allegedly directed him to a health facility in Wandegeya, where he had various tests and scans done before they could begin praying for him.
After allegedly confirming his sickness, they started praying for him, and videos of him falling down during the prayer session started trending online.

“I didn’t know that I would fall under an anointing. All my sickness left my body, and they told me not to go home. They told me to go to the hospital for a checkup again, and I realized I was now fine. Pr. Kakande healed me, and I can testify to this,” he said.
After this, Lwasa expressed his excitement following the new experience and revealed he would no longer be identified as a muslim anymore. He noted that he doesn’t regret returning to his original religion, and he feels it is the right place for him because he has found solutions.
