Singer A Pass, real name Alexander Bagonza, has opened up on why he doesn’t keep friendships with fellow artists.
During a YouTube interview, A Pass revealed that, despite being in the industry, his relationships with fellow artists are strictly business, not close friendships.
Giving his reasons, A Pass revealed that the industry is filled with gossip and rumours. He described musicians as fake, and throughout his presence in the industry, he has been associated with their kind.
He noted that when he meets fellow musicians, he shows them genuine respect but keeps his distance and is not overly friendly.

That is why I don’t mingle with artists or even befriend them. Musicians often refer to everyone as their brother, but I want to assure them that I’m not their brother. They keep pretending, but most of them are not even our friends. They want to fight you but can hide behind the so-called brotherly and sisterly love.

A Pass revealed that a section of the industry was spreading propaganda that he earns so much money from digital music platforms and doesn’t need to be booked for shows.
Why don’t you come first and negotiate with me to find out for yourself? Before you say all that, why not first contact my manager and confirm? All that was just stories they made up to sabotage me.
