    Entebbe Municipality MP, Hon. Salongo Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa, on November 10,2025, launched his first campaign rally at Kigungu playgrounds as he seeks to retain his seat though this time round on Democratic Front ticket.

    In his maiden campaign rally as he seeks the second term in office, Hon. Kakembo assured multitude of voters who had gathered at Kigungu playgrounds to offer them effective service delivery than before.

    He apologized to the voters for being rare in the community in his first tenure saying it was not his wish but he had a lot of engagements in the parliament which are beneficial to his constituency.

    Kakembo who hired singer Aliene Skin to entertain his voters, outlined a number of achievements in his first tenure in office including giving out text books to all schools in Entebbe, offering free tents and plastic chairs to the community, offering bursaries to needy students, giving out free coffee seedlings to farmers and a public address system among other things.

    ” I have worked for my voters and the impact is felt on the ground.So, whoever says I have done nothing is blindfolded, ” Hon. Kakembo criticized his critics.

    ‘ It’s on record that I’m the best legislator to serve the people of Entebbe. For instance I set up Mbwatekamwa Foundation-which has helped many needy children to get free education at all educational levels.

    ‘ I have also been able to lobby for a seed school in Kigungu zone ,and Entebbe Municipal council has already offered a piece of Land to erect the school. I thank Entebbe Munucipal Town Clerk Emmanuel Gacharo Mugisha for being passionate about the education of our children, ” Hon.Kakembo expressed his appreciation.

    Regarding road networks , Hon. Kakembo said:” I have already lobbied funds to construct Buku road which is behind Entebbe International Airport. This road is in dire state yet it connects to historic Kigungu landing site where the first Catholic missionaries arrived in Uganda in 1879.’

    Hon. Kakembo further unveiled a team of Democratic Front flag bearers for various elective posts . Among them include, Annet Nakyanja Mawejje (woman Mp aspirant Wakiso district), Flavia Nakafeero (Wakiso LC5 Aspirant), Amos Byansi(Entebbe Division B'( LC3 Aspirant).

    Mrs.Flavia Nakafeero who is the first woman aspirant for Wakiso district LC5 seat, pledged to fix healthcare services at Entebbe Regional Referral hospital. She said this will be achieved through continuous monitoring and supervision of medical officers to ensure they perform to their expectations.
