Musician and politician Geoffrey Lutaaya has defended his wife Irene Namatovu against the public that is constantly dragging her name into his mess.
A few weeks back, Geoffrey Lutaaya dominated the news after his illegitimate daughter accused him of neglecting and defaulting on her school fees. Through her mother, Mellan Lutaaya claimed that she was currently not in school due to unpaid fees, and before calling out her father to take on his responsibility.
Amidst the drama, netizens found a way of dragging Irene Namatovu into the mix, claiming she was the reason behind Lutaaya’s actions.
During a TV interview, Hon. Lutaaya defended his wife against allegations that she had stopped him from taking care of his other family. He revealed that he loved his wife not because he was being manipulated but because she is prayerful and favored.
Lutaaya revealed that his haters always drag Irene Namatovu’s name through the mud after they fail to put him down.
He emphasized that there were people behind the drama who had an aim of tarnishing his name, unaware that he had receipts of payments and all the evidence to prove that he had never abandoned his responsibilities as a father.
“They do not know who they are dealing with. She has not bewitched me, but was born with her favor. The way she prays so much must be her charm. She is always walking around with the rosary.
They always use her as a scapegoat. If they fail to put me down, they resort to attacking my wife. We see them every day and don’t even get bothered because they are looking for likes and traffic for their channels,” he said.
