Fangone Forest boss Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulawana, has turned down an awards nomination, revealing that he wouldn’t be participating.
Taking to his X handle, Alien Skin urged the organizing committee, expressing his feelings. He appreciated them for recognizing and honoring his efforts in the Ugandan music industry by including him on the list.
He, however, asked them to remove his name because he would not be participating. He advised them to seek his permission next time before including him in their awards.
“Dear Hiskool Awards Team. I sincerely appreciate the recognition and the honor of being nominated for the Hiskool Awards. However, I kindly request that you withdraw my name from the list of nominees. In the future, I would appreciate it if my consent is sought before including me in your nominations”, he shared.
Highskool Awards honor the incredible talent shaping the future of entertainment, business, and media. Alien was nominated in the category of “Best Male Artist” alongside artists like Ray G, Eddy Kenzo, and King Saha.
