President Yoweri Museveni has hosted Ugandan Muslims who recently returned from performing Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.

During the gathering, held at State House Entebbe, Museveni commended the pilgrims for fulfilling one of the fundamental pillars of Islam and encouraged them to use their spiritual journey as a foundation for promoting peace, unity, and moral values in their communities.

The President highlighted the importance of religious harmony in Uganda’s development, urging leaders and faithful alike to work together in fostering tolerance and national progress. He also praised the role of faith in guiding ethical behavior and strengthening social values, noting that pilgrimages such as Hajj and Umrah inspire believers to lead lives of discipline and service.

The pilgrims expressed gratitude to Museveni for his continued support and recognition of Uganda’s Muslim community. They shared testimonies of their experiences in Mecca and Medina, describing the journey as deeply transformative and spiritually uplifting.
