Musician Ykee Benda has opened up about the reasons why he chose to settle down with his soon-to-be bride, Emily Nyawira.
While speaking to journalists, Ykee Benda, whose real name is Wycliff Tugume, was asked to list the qualities that attracted him to Emily, and topping the list was her commendable family and the good upbringing she received. The Mpaka Records boss also praised Emily for the way she treats him as her partner.
Out of respect for his wife, Ykee Benda resisted discussing her body features in the media, as he holds her in high regard.
“She is my person; someone who knows my heart. The family she comes from, her manners, how she treats me, and her soft heart. Of course, she looks so beautiful, but out of respect, we do not have to talk about her body here,” he said.
Last week, Ykee Benda was officially introduced before Emily’s parents at her home in a colorful, star-studded introduction ceremony. Speaking about their dating life, he noted that they courted for a few months before he realized she was the right partner for him.
Contrary to societal beliefs, Ykee believes the decision was not rushed, but it was the right time for him to be a responsible man.
“We were in courtship for like six months. It was not a rush because when you know she is the right person and you are of age, you need to show people that you are responsible,” he concluded.
