Uganda Police is actively searching for controversial musician Alien Skin and members of his notorious Fungone Forest gang, following reports linking them to the brutal murder of one of their former colleagues Namuwaya Wilfred aka Uganda Top Dancer.
Alleged Murder in Kizungu Ndebba Village
According to preliminary police reports, the incident occurred on Saturday in Kizungu Ndebba village, Kampala. Alien Skin is accused of ordering the violent beating of Namuwaya Wilfred aka Uganda Top Dancer, a former Fungon Forest staff member, which tragically led to his death.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, SSP Patrick Onyango, confirmed that one of Alien Skin’s bodyguards, identified as Musumali, allegedly abducted Namuwaya from his home and delivered him to the Fungon gang’s basement on direct instructions from the musician.
“Upon receiving orders, Musumali rushed to Namuwaya’s home, picked him like a grasshopper, and delivered him to the basement,” Onyango told the press.
How the Beating Unfolded
Once inside the basement, Alien Skin reportedly confronted Namuwaya, demanding an explanation for leaving the Fungon base without his consent. Eyewitness reports indicate that the musician instructed his men to discipline the victim so as to “set an example” for others who might attempt to leave.

The group then subjected Namuwaya to a violent beating. He was later dumped in Ndebba near his home in critical condition. Concerned locals who found him rushed him to Mulago Hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Police Investigation and Manhunt
Police have now launched a full investigation into the case and placed Alien Skin and several of his Fungon gang members on the wanted list for murder charges. Authorities have urged anyone with information on their whereabouts to report immediately to the nearest police station.
The shocking incident has sparked public outcry, with many Ugandans questioning the influence of violent gangs linked to some musicians and their impact on the youth.
Call for Justice
Law enforcement officials have promised to pursue justice for the late Namuwaya Wilfred, assuring the public that those responsible will be brought before the courts of law.
As the manhunt continues, the tragic case underscores ongoing concerns about crime, lawlessness, and impunity within Kampala’s underground entertainment circles.
