Ugandan rapper Fik Fameica, real name Walukagga Shafik, has revealed that his concerts are not motivated by money, but rather by brand investment.
Recently, Mun G had his concert at the Serena Hotel, and speaking to journalists after the show, the rapper admitted to having had a successful concert in terms of numbers.
Financially, however, the returns didn’t meet his expectations. Addressing the narrative, Fik Fameica begged to differ, noting that profitability was not the primary reason behind his shows.
According to Fik Fameica, he used his shows to promote his brand. He, therefore, didn’t mind how much he earned as long as he had recovered the money he used to invest in the show to take place.
The concert was organized and supported by Kibbo Establishment, a leading events management company in Uganda, in collaboration with the Kibbo Ghetto Climate Change Foundation, which is dedicated to creating climate change awareness and resilience, and providing quality education for underprivileged children in Uganda.

Addressing members of the press, Fik thanked his fans and partners for making his concert possible before apologizing for any setbacks. He noted that the event’s success is not just a personal milestone, but also a reminder of the importance of youth empowerment and community development.
“I just thank God and all my fans for coming through to support me. We really had fun. Overall, they all did well. I got the money, but my intentions are not to get money.
Everyone has their goals for staging a show, but personally, it is not to earn. I do not celebrate the money from the show. If it flops, it hurts me because I have invested money, but if I get back what I invested, it is all good. For a show, it is more of a brand investment,” he said.
