Former Team No Sleep musician Pinky has bragged about taking over the local music industry in a few years, before branding herself as Uganda’s Rihanna.
While speaking to BTM TV, Pinky revealed that she is super proud of her journey. Despite having joined the industry as a teenager, she noted that she had achieved a lot to the point that other artists were afraid of her.
Pinky explained that the confession was made to her by an anonymous person in the industry. He allegedly informed her that many artists were afraid of her powerful voice and how she had shaken up the industry in just three years.
I joined the industry at 17, and being a grown-up now, watching my journey from a teenager to where I am now, I’m very proud of myself. I met a particular person two days ago, whom I won’t mention, who told me that they are all afraid.
They know I’m just still young and just came, but they are all afraid of my voice. He told me the reason they were still calm was that they still had people who had been in the industry for 17 years.
He allegedly advised her to give herself time and not panic with the pressure, as she was still young and very talented. He explained that Pinky still had time and would do better than she is doing right now.
“I’m going to boss up my country and the whole of Africa within three to four years. Watch out and see. We are the Rihannas you people have to look at. You guys have not just seen it yet, but I’m Rihanna,” she said.
