Rising artist Jowy Landa has addressed the viral rumours suggesting that she is always under the influence of alcohol, which pushes her into controversies from time to time.
Born Joan Namugerwa, Jowy Landa has been involved in several scuffles midway through her performances. She is known for being outspoken and doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind, even when it comes off as an attack on someone else.
A number of social media users have observed a repetitive pattern concerning her behaviour, especially concerning her night bar performances.
In an interview with Spark TV, Jowy Landa denied the allegations, claiming her questionable attitude was fuelled by her addiction. She claimed malicious people spread the rumours to ruin her reputation.
Even with the rumors, Jowy Landa is confident that her fans love her and cannot abandon her because of random media rumors.

“I’m a very powerful artist. No one knows me, and many of them hate me because I’m the best at what I do. They say all this, but my fans still love me the way I am,” she said.
