Two gay men have this morning on 1st May 2023 faced the wrath of an angry mob that has attacked and mercilessly beaten them to near death until they lost consciousness.
This scuffle happened in Entebbe this morning at one of the offices of some Not-For-Profit organisation whose intentions and activities have often been rumoured to be linked with activities of supporting members of the L.G.B.T.Q+ in Uganda.
The two men have been identified as Joseph Balikuddembe, 34 who is a Programmes Manager at St. James Foundation and a one Ronald Ssemaganda, 33 who has often been seen frequenting the former’s office.
Exclusive information that this newspaper has had access to indicates that the secretary to Balikuddembe caught these two gentlemen pants down making gay love to each other before she went out screaming to the top of her voice in utter shock and disbelief.
It is at this very moment that the crowd of anti-homosexuality campaigners gathered and descended onto these men with all the force and might they had which left the two men badly beaten and unconscious before they also stole some of their items like mobile phones, money and a laptop and later ran away.
The lives of these two men were only saved by some well wishers who knew Joseph Balikuddembe because he worked in the area and they rushed him to Reseda Healthcare Hospital for medical attention while Ronald Ssemaganda was rushed by another ambulance to Mulago hospital.
It is not the first time that Balikuddembe has been rumoured to be involved in homosexuality because on several occasions he has received death threats because of the social work he does which has been linked to secretly providing material and social support to members of the L.G.B.T.Q+ in Uganda.
It should be noted that homosexuality by and large is an unacceptable vice in Uganda, a country that cherishes strong African cultural norms which strictly forbid same sex relationships and marriages or homosexuality.
The Uganda government has previously stood its ground on the same controversial L.G.B.T.Q+ Topic and enacted a tough Anti-homosexuality law that has often received the backlash of both local and international human rights advocates
