Pastor Steven Mutesasira couldn’t hide his excitement as he took to his Facebook page to heap praise on his two kids Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira who put up a breathtaking performance at Canada’s Got Talent show.
Esther and Ezekiel took to the stage to put up a scintillating performance doing Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks’ No Air duet. Their sublime performance got the judges and audience alike gushing over their incredible talent.
The duo made headlines both back in Uganda and abroad because of the singing talent that they exhibited at one of the biggest talent stages in the world.
Some of the judges included Howie Mandel who is a popular face on America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent and popular rapper Kardinal Offishall.
“We give God the Glory. I’m proud of you Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira. May the hand of God continue to shine upon you. Continue shining. I love you always,” pastor Mutesasira said in a Facebook post.
The two kids are born of the Pastor Steven Mutesasira and Julie Mutesasira who was once a budding gospel singer in the country.
She however fled the country some years ago and relocated to Canada. While speaking at the talent show, she revealed that she felt unsafe in Uganda. She, therefore, decided to leave because she’s a gay woman.
And being a gay woman whilst being married to a pastor in Uganda is an abomination. She was separated from her kids for about 5 years but they were later reunited last year.
Esther and Ezekiel first gained fame after winning the first edition of East Africa’s Got Talent show in 2019.
