Former KCCA FC, Vipers SC, Express FC and Uganda Cranes Midfielder Sulaiman Mutyaba is in custody!

Mutyaba is understood to have been taken into the cells on Friday afternoon after he was arrested at the headquarters of the Federation of Uganda Football Association.

Mutyaba who also ran for political office in the 2021 General Elections was holding a peaceful demonstration at the headquarters asking the Federation to account for the money that comes in and also pay arrears they owe national team players.

He also accuses FUFA President Moses Magogo and his administration for failing to account for the salary of the national team players that comes in from the government on a monthly basis.

It is believed that Mutyaba along with a number of youths camped at the headquarters in the morning, carrying several placards, some bearing the message ‘Magogo Should Resign’.

Recently, Magogo came out to claim that some players have no right to demand for money after “playing sh**y football” at the just concluded CHAN championships in Cameroon.

Mutyaba has also been undergoing a fierce social media and cyber battle with Cranes team manager Patrick Ntege similar matters.

He is currently kept at Old Kampala Police station.
