Dokolo Woman MP, Cecilia Ogwal, has told the Parliamentary Committee on Rules, Privileges and Discipline that the minister of Security Gen Elly Tumwine used a lot of anger and bitterness towards her and he nearly poked her eyes out.

She had appeared before the committee to testify against the general who is facing disciplinary hearing over misconduct.

Ogwal informed the committee she fears for her life and if anything happens to her, including death by accident or poisoning, the general should be held responsible.

Ogwal had an altercation with the general in Parliament last week leading the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga to order for an investigation.

Ogwal told the committee that the CCTV footage presented before it [about her altercation with Tumwine in the corridors of Parliament] could have been tampered with under the influence of the Security minister.

The Opposition legislator also told the committee on how her health conditions have deteriorated since she was assaulted and shouted at by the combative Gen Tumwine.

Bukonzo West legislator Atkins Katusabe was the first to appear before the committee and he informed the MPs how he was trailed by unknown people something that has left him unsettled.

Gen Tumwine is expected to appear before the committee today morning.
