Kabaka Ronald Mutebi is hours away to celebrate his 26th Coronation at the top of the crown. This year’s celebrations are to be held at Nkumba university on Entebbe road.
All preparations are done as his majesty will crown it all this Wednesday,31st/July/ with a special invite of Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the titular ruler of Sokoto in northern Nigeria as the chief guest at a high profiled ceremony in the Buganda Kingdom.
The Nigeria Sultan is in Uganda to attend Kabaka Mutebi’s coronation anniversary. Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga said on Monday that this is the second time the Sultan is visiting Kabaka Mutebi and the two are great friends.
He is the head of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (Society for the Support of Islam) and president-general of the Nigerian National Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
The Katikiro described the sultan as having very keen interest in the kingdom of Buganda because the two entities have a lot in common including colonial history
