On Mother’s Day, Canary Mugume’s wife, Sasha Ferguson, opened up about her experiences and her deeply emotional journey through motherhood.
In an Instagram story, she reflected on the birth experiences of her two children and the challenges she faced during postpartum recovery.
Sasha described the birth of her second child as one of the most challenging moments of her life. She revealed that she still has trauma from the birth of her second baby.
She recounted the first three months of postpartum delivery and how difficult they were because she had two children under the age of two to take care of while also dealing with her first child, Cairo’s delayed speech.
“Cairo’s growth and development was too fast but started slowing down as soon as I conceived Canary’s pregnancy,” Sasha explained.

She revealed that she was initially unaware that she was pregnant. Still, while breastfeeding Cairo, he began falling ill, and that’s when an elderly woman suggested that she could be expecting a baby.
Sasha shared that within the first three months of postpartum, her entire mental health was shattered; she just kept on shrinking and losing weight, but continued to push through despite feeling overwhelmed. Amid her struggle with her mental health, she lost her father, and that only deepened her pain.
