Buganda Kingdom is in a somber mood after Nnabaagereka Sylvia Nagginda’s Grandfather Nelson Edmond Ssebugwawo’s untimely death on Sunday. Ssebugwawo who has been a senior citizen in Nkumba off Entebbe Road passed on Sunday in nearby hospital and the cause of death is yet to be known. He was born in 1911 to the late Saul Ssebugwawo and studied at Nkumba Day School, Mengo High School, King’s College Buddo and later enrolled at Namutaba Farm School where he became an expert in farming.
He also held several posts in the Buganda Kingdom and was part of the team that traveled to the London Conference to negotiate on the two controversial lost counties Buyanga and Bugangaizi. He was married to two wives Kasalina Nannyanzi and Robinah Naluwaga. He fathered 23 kids. The burial arrangements are yet to be communicated. The old man was known for cracking jokes daily and in his entire life time he had never tasted booze and never smoked cigarettes.
