The Entebbe Municipal council Mayor Vincent Kayanja Depaul is in trouble after failing to organize this year’s independence celebrations organized at the Lake Victoria Primary school playground which flopped badly.
The town boss organized the 52nd independence celebrations with a tree planting campaign in the town suburbs. The wakiso District Deputy RDC Rose Kirabira and a few primary schools including Kiwafu primary school participated in the tree planting campaign.
Several municipal authorities and councilors didn’t participate in the independence celebrations after falling out with the Mayor because they allegedly didn’t get an official communication inviting from the Mayor.
Many municipal authorities who were absent at the independence celebration decided to keep themselves busy in their offices until late in the evening. The disappointment RDC Kirabira said that the spirit of patriotism is still lacking in Ugandans who have increasingly become selfish.
