It will be a night to remember for the Itesots and Bumasaba from Gishu Land who ruled Nkumba University Cultural Gala Night with their Traditional dances.  While other traditional dances struggled to get loud cheers from the crowd that was comprised of Nkumba University students and other well wishers, the Itesots with their popular Eyawunu Emali song and Bumasaba’s Akadoodi dance made the night lively at the water front Beach on Saturday that would have rather ended on a miserable note.

The crowd turned ecstatic as soon as the Itesots and Gishus stepped on stage and began performing their traditional dances. Hundreds spontaneously rose from their seats and joined in the Eyawunu Emali and Akadoodi dance. Thereafter Nkumba University students raided Club X5 for the After Party, all they needed was to present their valid Identity cards at the entrance.

All major tribes in Uganda and foreign students from Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan were given a chance to show case their traditional dances.
