Entebbe Chief Magistrate Suzan Abinyo on Thursday denied court bail to over twenty bar revelers including thigh vendors and their male clients. The presiding Magistrate told court that inquiries into the matter were still ongoing before remanding the suspects to Kigo government prison till 21st January 2015. Prosecution alleges that on December 21st 2014 at former Club 17 in Kitoro Trading Center in Entebbe Municipality, Dorothy Nansamba 18, Elizabeth Rwamuhanda 28, Amanda Othieno,25, Jennifer Namboozo,35, Gift Birungi 27, Diana Basemera 28,Annet Shirley Mbuga 29,Beatrice Nalwoga 24, Rose marry Nambazira 28, Jessica Tusiime 22 ,Phionah Mbabazi, Augustine Ogen 38, Yazid Waswa 21 and Lawrence Mushabe 26 were found in a bar during working hours yet bars were required to operate during evening hours. The suspects were arrested by police who stormed the bar over downing bottles. However while taking plea in court, the suspects earlier on denied the charges imposed against them saying they were employees of the bar and that they were just partying and swallowing pints like fish.
