The lawyers defending opposition political activist, Dr Kizza Besigye and his political associate Obeid Lutale have been temporarily blocked from entering the military court in Makindye, Kampala.
The duo are charged with four counts relating to security, illegal possession of two pistols and eight rounds of ammunition.
The chairman of the military court, Brig Freeman Mugabe said that no one should be blocked from entering the court room if they go through all the necessary security protocols.
The blocked defense lawyers include; lead counsel, Martha Karua, Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Counsel Eron Kiiza, Counsel Luyimbazi Nalukola among others.
Brig Mugabe has adjourned the case for 20 minutes to have the matter sorted.
The FDC top shots and other opposition politicians have camped at the court for hearing of the case.
Also in the Court room is UNAIDS Executive Director and Besigye’s wife, Winnie Byanyima.
