Describing the young generation as wanting, Mawoogola county Buganda Kingdom chief Nsamba felix Kabanjo has urged parents to discipline and mould their children into citizens who are purposeful and self driven. Nsamba who was chief guest at the official installation and swearing in ceremony of Kabaka’s representatives in Entebbe on Monday urged parents to teach their children life skills that can enable them make informed decisions. He castigated the youth who are lazy and spend most of their time in betting and gambling centers to make quick money.
He also urged central government to crack down on companies that are involved in trafficking Ugandans to the Middle East under the guise of getting them jobs. He revealed that many Ugandans have fallen victim to sex trafficking and slavery in the Middle East. He also appealed to all Buganda Kingdom loyalists to vote leaders who articulate the Kingdom’s issues well.
Nsamba who represented Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga officially installed 16 Buganda Kingdom representatives who are led by Eron Vello Bbubye and urged them to fear God and respect themselves as well as strengthen cooperation and unity amongst Kabaka Ronald Mutebi’s subjects in Entebbe. Vello Bbubye vowed to mobilize her team to promote unity “Buganda Bumu” and bring together Kabaka’s subjects to work hard for the Kingdom. Nsamba urged them to protect the kingdom’s sovereignty.
