How long have you been in Leone Island Entertainment Crew?
It’s now six years .
How did you join Leone Island?
First I loved Chameleone’s music and I used to attend all his concerts. Then one day I met him after he had finished performing at a concert. I told him how much I loved his music. I also told him I wanted to join Leone Island. He agreed and offered me a job as his official DJ because I studied sound Engineering and English.
How does your day with Chameleone look like?
As his official DJ I move with him when we have work.
How would you describe Chameleone?
He is a great man and Leone Island is a big international company with lots of upcoming artistes.
How many artistes has Leone Island groomed?
They are quite many but the popular ones are Young Mulo, King Saha, Late AK47 and Sizzaman.
Apart from working as Chameleone’s official DJ. What else do you do?
I have sound machines that I rent out. I also train young DJ’s and promote talent.
What has been your happiest moment with Chameleone?
When I boarded a plane with him four years ago on an African tour. We travelled to South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania and Nairobi.
And the lowest moment with him?
When AK47 died. He was really devastated and completely heartbroken.
How would you describe the late AK47?
He was a loyal friend, hard working, young and strong dance hall artiste. Late him Rest in peace.
What has been your worst moment in life?
When I lost mum twelve years ago.
How did your parents react when you decided to become a DJ?
My parents were liberal. They allowed me to pursue my dream.
Who is your favourite DJ Locally and internationally.
Locally I feel I’m the best and internationally DJ Khalid is my best. He is Rick Ross’ DJ.
Of all Chameleone’s songs. Which one is your favourite?
Bandilisha is my favourite song.
Are you married or dating?
I have a girl friend. Her name is Charlene we have been together since childhood. We grew up in the same neighbourhod.
What is your message to other upcoming DJ’s?
I wish them the best. I want to start a DJ School to train other DJ’s.
What are your future plans?
I will remain a DJ for a life.
