Arua is poised to become the epicenter of East African music this New Year’s Eve, as fans from South Sudan, Congo, and Uganda’s West Nile region gather to honor music legend Jose Chameleone.
The End-of-Year Meet and Greet Party, scheduled for 31st December 2025, promises an intimate celebration of the Leone Island star’s two-decade-long career, departing from the high-octane concerts fans usually associate with him.
Organized at the luxurious La Confidential Hotel, the event will offer supporters rare opportunities to interact directly with Chameleone, capture photo moments, and reflect on his influence in shaping the East African music scene.
Evelyn Anite, proprietor of La Confidential Hotel and State Minister for Trade, explained the choice of venue. “La Confidential Hotel is the largest available space capable of hosting an event of this magnitude,” she said.

In addition to music, the night will feature storytelling and nostalgic moments that celebrate Chameleone’s enduring legacy. With guests expected from southern Sudan, eastern Congo, and across northern Uganda, Arua is set to become a regional cultural hub, uniting fans in a unique tribute to one of Africa’s most iconic performers.

As the countdown to 2026 begins, West Nile will be the place to witness a rare and heartfelt celebration of Chameleone’s timeless impact on East African music.
