On Friday morning residents of Lutembe Zone off Entebbe Road woke up to the shocking and devastating news after two men were murdered in cold blood. Tadeo Kakooza (50) and Godfrey Kutambaki (26) were slaughtered like chicken in the early hours of Friday morning after a bitter disagreement over an 18 year old girl identified as Gorretti Nakate who was reportedly caned by Godfrey Kutambaki and slipped into coma. According to neighbors and eyewitnesses they revealed that Godfrey Kutambaki first guzzled enough crude waragi and smoked his lungs high before caning the girl mercilessly. Tadeo Kakooza who at the time was in his cassava garden was tipped off by a close neighbor that his daughter was screaming and wailing. The old man abandoned his work and dashed back home to save her. On reaching home, Godfrey Kutambaki who had taken cover jumped on his throat and sliced off his head with a panga sparking anger from the residents who vowed to deal with him after they found the old man’s head dripping with blood in a bucket.
The blood thirsty killer disappeared and locked himself in a nearby house where the angry mob managed to track him down and smoked him out. The enraged mob stoned him with bricks to death in revenge in addition to demolishing and knocking down the house he was hiding in. A source indicated that Godfrey Kutambaki had been plotting to rape the man’s daughter but she decided to scream for her dear life. The lumpen shut her mouth and resorted to caning her after his deadly mission fell apart. The Kajjansi Police Station OC confirmed the bloody incidence and warned the public from taking matters in their own hands.
